How to become Miss Rodeo Buffalo County

Glitz, Glamour, and a whole lot of cowgirl is what is in store for the 2008 Miss Rodeo Buffalo County and Jr. Miss Rodeo Buffalo County contests.  The date for the 2008 contest is July 26, 2008.  The contest will kick off at 8:30 a.m.  The contestants will display their Horsemanship skills, go through an interview, model the latest western trends, and give a timed speech.  The contest will be held at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds in Kearney.  The 2008 winners will be announced at the Friday night performance of the Buffalo County PRCA Rodeo.

The current 2007 Miss Rodeo Buffalo County is Tayler Puttergill of Tryon.  She is the 17 year old daughter of Greg and B.J. Puttergil of Tryon.  Tayler is currently attending Mullen Public School.  She is a member of the Nebraska High School Rodeo Association.  She is actively involved in volleyball, basketball, 4-H, Club Volleyball, FCCLA, Spanish Honor Society, and Sandhills Leadership Team.  Tayler’s goal is to attend college and pursue a career as a Physicians Assistant.
